What
is e-Elections.com?
e-Elections.com
is a new media company offering short, intuitive URLs to the nation's
issue-oriented campaigns. Using the shortest, most easy-to-remember
URL -- such as www.NOonC.com -- will drive more traffic to your
site, which will mean more online donations, more volunteers and
more visitors to your site. e-Elections also offers a package of
services, including online donation collection, hosting, online
volunteer management and more.
What
comes with the basic package?
Our
basic package offers everything
you need to launch and run a campaign Web site, including a free
Web address, online fund-raising, an e-mail account, online volunteer
management, hosting and a Web site you build yourself using our
template.
What
are premium services?
Our
premium services can be added
to your basic package, or to any page you design yourself. They
include unique Web addresses, e-mail strategies, downloadable graphic
designs for buttons and signs, custom Web site development, or simple
add-ons to your basic site, such as news articles, video or audio,
or absentee voter instructions.
How
can I use the same Web address as another campaign?
Before
e-Elections.com came along, only one single campaign that registered
the best, shortest Web address for a campaign could use it for the
duration of that campaign. Now, visitors across the country can
call up an e-Election.com URL -- www.YESonA.com, for instance --
and be directed to his or her local campaign. That means that your
campaign site can use any Web address -- it can even be your own
home page on your own Internet Service Provider -- and still be
linked to the short dot-com address available through e-Elections.com.
And what would you rather have on your brochure materials and signs?
A Web site address like www.geocities.com~brown962, or www.YESonA.com,
which communicates your message succinctly and is easy to remember?
Why
should I use an e-Elections URL?
Research
has shown that when someone turns to the Internet for information
about a particular campaign or service, they will first "guess"
the Web address by typing it in. Then they turn to search engines.
It's easy to guess what a campaign carrying a letter or number might
be called. And it can take many months to turn up on most search
engines, even if you follow extensive registration processes.
e-Elections.com offers the best "intuitive" URLs for campaigns,
increasing the possibility for a potential donor or volunteer to
guess the Web site address. In other words, you have a better chance
of someone finding you on the Internet when you use an e-Elections
Web address. In addition, a clear, short Web address makes a strong
visual statement on all of your collateral material.
How
much does it cost?
You can use many of the Web
addresses registered by e-Elections.com for free. We also have
a limited number of dedicated Web addresses for lease, which means
that your campaign and your campaign alone will be using that address.
Those are priced by the size of your campaign, and available on
a first-come, first-served basis.
Basic packages are priced
by the size of your municipality. Our fees range from $500 for small
campaigns to $5,000 for the nation's largest campaigns.
How
does online fund-raising work?
We
provide you with a button that people will see when they call up
your home page. Donors will click on the button, see a personalized
message from you, and then will be asked to fill out their credit
card information. They will then submit the form, and you will receive
the money in your own bank account. You will be provided with a
full list of donors, how much they contributed, and all the information
a campaign needs to report contributions to the state or federal
government. Click here for
more info.
How
long will it take to get up on the Internet?
You
can have your own site up within 48 hours of filling out the form
and clicking the SUBMIT key. If you want to link an existing site
to one of our free URLs, the link will be made within one business
day after you click the SUBMIT key.
