Issues
Most
people want good schools, a clean environment and a safe place to
live. The problem is that people have stopped believing that government
can ensure that for them. The Internet has a tremendous potential
to reach people and bring them back into the political system.
In
an age when voters lead more pressured lives with more obligations
and less free time, they can stay involved in the issues they care
about in as much time as it takes to click a mouse. From checking
off interests on a Web site for e-mail updates on topics such as
the environment or gun legislation, to participating in an online
community that values content over time or geographic location,
people -- voters -- can again stay informed and inspired about what
truly matters to them. And they can chose, in the comfort of their
own environment, what if any action to take based on the issues
they have identified as meaningful.
Below
we've listed what we believe are relevant campaigns. We've used
the word "campaign" in its broadest sense, to define ongoing
initiatives by select groups as well as ballot measures facing an
entire electorate. We encourage you keep us informed of campaigns
we've overlooked by e-mailing us with the Web site's address. To
submit a Web site for inclusion in any of the topics listed below,
or to suggest a topic we may have missed, click
HERE. You can also sign up for updates on any of these issues
by clicking

We've
selected major areas of interest. Click on any of these to find
a list of political and campaign related Web sites that can help
you stay informed about what interests you.
